Role Overview
We are hiring a seasoned Corporate Lawyer to lead regulatory and litigation matters, with a strong focus on CERC, APTEL, and compliance. This senior role will involve close coordination with legal counsel, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure that the organization operates within the legal framework and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all regulatory legal matters involving CERC, APTEL, and associated litigation.
- Liaise with external legal advisors, including Senior Counsels and Advocates-on-Record.
- Manage all legal and contractual activities related to business operations.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of applicable regulations, tariff orders, and legal judgments.
- Draft and file regulatory submissions including petitions, replies, and rejoinders.
- Provide legal mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across plant and company operations.
- Draft, vet, and review commercial and financial contracts and agreements.
- Maintain a legal repository and regularly update leadership on critical legal developments.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and departments.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 12 years of experience in regulatory and legal functions within Power, Infrastructure, or Manufacturing sectors.
- Strong expertise in regulatory law, especially dealing with CERC, APTEL, and related tribunals.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex litigation and contract negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
