About the Role
Ground Zero is looking for a dynamic and experienced legal professional to join their team in Udaipur as Executive – Legal Strategy and Partnerships. This leadership role is ideal for individuals passionate about justice and committed to long-term impact through legal empowerment and strategic collaborations.
As a key member of the organization, you will drive the expansion of legal initiatives across Western India by building partnerships and leading innovative legal programs focused on strengthening access to justice for workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Partnerships: Forge and strengthen relationships with legal institutions, workers’ organizations, Legal Services Authorities, employers, and academic institutions.
- Program Development: Identify new areas with high labor concentration to expand legal aid services.
- Innovative Initiatives: Lead the development of new legal programs such as lawyer fellowships, training for para-legal workers, and collaborative projects with labor governance bodies.
- Advocacy & Research: Support writing, research, and publishing initiatives that promote justice and awareness for informal sector workers.
- Representation: Serve as the face of the organization in stakeholder engagements; excellent interpersonal and networking skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 5–7 years in legal aid, labor law, human rights, or rights-based advocacy work.
- Skills & Interests:
- Strong interest in legal reform, access to justice, and rights of vulnerable communities
- Experience in advocacy, legal research, writing, and policy
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Hindi
- Willingness to travel frequently across regions
- Familiarity with the legal landscape of Rajasthan and Gujarat is a significant asset
